MASIA CATALINA, Sant Pere de Ribes

The location of the masia is excellent. Situated just outside the pleasant town of Sant Pere de Ribes, all of the attractions of Sitges and the coast are within an easy 5-minute drive. The world renown and cosmopolitan city of Barcelona is just 30 minutes by car.

The masia has been sympathetically restored with most of the original aspects preserved. It’s impressive rustic facade contrasts superbly with its luxuriously renovated indoor spaces. The rustic stone walls, terracotta floors, soft hues and sumptuous furnishings hark back to its glorious past. With 700 sqm of interior floor space there is  ample room for guests to enjoy their stay in this unique and impressive country house.

INTERIOR

Masia Catalina is a substantial private residence with a living area of over 700 square metres for guests to enjoy. Even when fully occupied the house is still large enough to allow you as much space and privacy as you like.

The house has been thoughtfully and sympathetically designed to provide modern and hi-tec comforts, while the preservation of many original features ensures that the historical essence and charm of this magnificent property are retained. The masia has been sumptuously furnished throughout with a clever mix of antique period pieces and quirky artistic flourishes.

There is a fully equipped modern kitchen, a beautiful dining room that can seat 30 guests and several seating areas with cosy fireplaces or wood burning stoves for those cooler out of season evenings. For the more active members of the party there is a fitness room as well as ping pong table, bar football and satellite TV with English stations.

GARDENS & OUTSIDE SPACES

The centrepiece of the beautiful gardens at Masia Catalina is the delightful shaped swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by lush lawns providing the ideal space in which to sunbathe or to simply relax in the shade on one of the many sun loungers that are provided for guests. Relaxation can also be found in the delightful Moroccan style chill out room located at one end of the terrace.

There is a large and attractive tiled courtyard that provides an excellent space for outdoor events and al fresco dining for large groups. There is also a barbeque with children’s play area. 

The grounds of the masia stretch to over 400 acres and there are stunning vineyard and mountain views from all around the property.

Up to 100 guests can be seated for outdoor events like weddings and celebrations (in addition to the 150 person capacity of the Bodega).

THINGS TO DO

There are so many ways to enjoy the days and nights at Masia Catalina but you’ll find so much to experience and enjoy in the local area if you can drag yourself away.

The bustling seaside town of Sitges is just a 5-minute drive away. Sitges has just about everything you need on a holiday: sandy beaches, cool bars, quality restaurants, fashionable boutiques, festivals, fireworks, culture, nightlife and élan. If you would like to dine out without going too far then you’ll be pleased to know there is a good quality restaurant literally next door.

Why not visit a local winery such as Torres, Finca Viladellops or Torre del Veguer? The legendary Cava Houses of Freixenet and Cordoniu are not too far away and offer fascinating and insightful tours.

The wonderful cosmopolitan city of Barcelona with its world-class attractions is a 35-minute drive and can also be easily reached by train or bus.

For those looking for more energetic distractions the nearby Mediterranean coast with its golden sandy beaches and numerous marinas offers unlimited opportunities for water based sports and boat rentals. The house also has direct access to the Garraf Natural Park providing hundreds of kilometres of fantastic hiking and mountain bike trails right on your doorstep. There is a tennis club in the nearest town and several good golf courses in the area.

There is a choice of theme parks and attractions within an hour or so drive including Port Aventura, one of the biggest in Europe.
